Real estate listings on real estate agent's web sites can be a source of confusion. On this site, we have two categories of real estate listings: 1) MLS/IDX listings and; 2) "Handshake" listings.

MLS/IDX Listings: MLS (Multiple Listing Service) / IDX (Internet Data Exchange) listings provide the most complete listings available. The MLS is a system that contains the vast majority of listings currently available. Only licensed real estate agents in good standing with their local real estate association can directly access the MLS. IDX is a system that "feeds" MLS listing information to a real estate agent web site such as this. You can use our IDX feed to search all listings currently available in the Phoenix area MLS. This system shows ALL the area listings in the MLS, including our own as well as other agents. As licensed real estate agents, we can show you ANY listing in the MLS, regardless of who the listing agent/office is.

Handshake Listings: Our web site host, Point 2 Agent, provides a unique service. Point 2 Agent members have "handshake agreements" to share their listings with other Point 2 members. These handshake listings are displayed across every local Point 2 site. In the Phoenix area that means you can view the listings of over 1,000 real estate agents (and if you are a seller, your home will be displayed on those 1,000+ sites!). Handshake listings allow more information and pictures to be displayed than the MLS/IDX provides, and you can even have handshake listing brochures emailed directly to you. Like MLS listings, we can show you any and all Point 2 Handshake listings you see on our site. See this for an example of the Handshake listings. This system shows only SOME of the currently available listings, but they are much more detailed than you'll see on the MLS/IDX listings.
