Jay's Bio
When people ask me where I'm from, I say, "I'm from everywhere." Yep, I'm an Army Brat. Traveled all over the world. I began working at a large semiconductor manufacturing corporation when I was 19 years old. 23 years later, having worked in countless positions in Engineering, Management, and Human Resources, I joined 65,000 of my fellow employees in a "downsizing" (over 2,300 of which I had the displeasure of personally laying off).
Having enough of the corporate world, but still having a very strong desire to help people, I decided to do something completely different--sell real estate. So off I went to "Real Estate School" to get my license. And I haven't looked back since. I truly love this job. There is no greater satisfaction than helping someone find their home, and sharing the knowledge to guide them through the sometimes daunting home buying process.
For what it's worth, I have a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management that I received from St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas. I graduated Summa Cum Laude, which I have to admit, I'm kinda proud of. I took some graduate level finance courses and used moving from Austin to Phoenix as an excuse to stop attending graduate school. I would like to return someday...
From Jan 2005 to Jan 2006, I served as a Commissioner on the Town of Gilbert Human Relations Commission.
I have two wonderful children and one amazing wife. She also worked at the large semiconductor manufacturer, leaving for the toughest job in the world--being a stay-at-home mom. But as kids do, they grew up and she got bored. Having heard me saying (over and over and over) about how great working in real estate was, off she went to real estate school...
Francy's Bio
Francy has something that is getting rarer and rarer around here...a birth certificate from the State of Arizona. She was born and raised in Arizona, and can often be heard saying, "I remember when this subdivision was a cotton field." Her knowledge of the local area borders on the freakish. She can find any place, whether it's on a map or not. Her years of living in the Valley of the Sun are an incredible asset for a real estate agent.
Francy also shares a love of helping people. Known to get a tear in her eye when a young couple buys their first home, she has plunged into selling real estate with a gusto usually only seen in younger women. (Jay is thinking right now, "I hope she never sees this...)
The Thompsons share many hobbies and pastimes. Francy is a "crafter", a horrible Bunko player, and a Star Trek fanatic. Jay's favorite pastime is watching NFL football (in a prone position) and riding bicycles. Of course James and Lauren, the two previously mentioned wonderful kids come first in both our hearts.
Both of us throughly enjoy helping people through the often daunting process of buying and selling real estate. The greatest satisfaction in this profession comes from the feeling our clients get when they get the keys to their new house, or they close on the sale of a home and move onward.
We'd love to help you in any real estate transaction you might encounter. Please don't hesitate to contact us if there is anything we can do for you.
Warmest Regards,
Jay and Francy Thompson
